I treated myself to 2 huge stretched canvases just after Christmas. 2.5 x 1 metre, a stretch to get my brush to the top. It’s one of my ‘evolving’ abstract landscape paintings, gradually developing depth and dimension as I work listening to plays on the radio, not concentrating on what I am painting, just letting the creativity flow.
Here are the progress shots so far. Acrylic on canvas, started with a giant brush and simple random marks then some bold areas of colour and light. I am now working on areas of contrast and adding small details. My aim is to make a work that you feel you could step into… with some trepidation!
