Come up and see me!

I’ll have a stall with lots of my artwork and cards plus samples of my pet portraits at the Arlington Art & Craft show on 22nd and 23rd June. Come and see me, in the corner of the large marquee – I have a lot of unframed work that I need to sell to make space  in the studio, my BRAND NEW range of cards will be ready, you can find out more information about my forthcoming classes and courses and even buy a voucher for a Pet Portrait.

The Art & Craft Show is part of the Arlington Arts Festival (that I have co-ordinated) and will be the biggest one yet. The Art Show actually starts on Friday 21st in Arlington Village Hall, open from 10.30- 3 and a special evening viewing from 7-9pm (with a bar too!), and continues on the Saturday and Sunday from 10.30 – 5 when there will also be 18 or more craft stalls in and around the marquee next to the hall.

I’ve now got to get everything ready for my stall but am working today (OK, not at this precise moment, I’m having a break, OK!?), will be helping set up and run the Arlington Gets Cajun lll event tomorrow, putting up roadside signs on Sunday and liaising with the Zumba instructor, I’m doing a workshop and demonstration on the Monday  – I’M DOING A WORKSHOP AND DEMONSTRATION ON MONDAY!! I need to get ready for that too, although at the time of writing I have not had any bookings so will just have to see how many turn up on the day…. but I digress again-  working on Tuesday, attending a watercolour workshop ( I organised it , I have to go) in the evening, stewarding at Gallery North on Wednesday morning, going to a talk in the evening, hanging the Art Show on Thursday, running the art show and liaising with the schools and tutors for the workshops on Friday and running the craft show on Sunday. Oh, and I’ve got 2 pet portraits to do and a picture to finish ready for submitting to the Jerwood Drawing Prize.

Breathe.

This afternoon I am meeting up with the delightful force of artistic nature that is Corina Stupu Thomas at the Bluebell Barn at Bates Green Farm just round the corner to organise our exciting exhibition which will be part of the Hailsham Art Trail in September. That’s another thing I’m involved in at the moment, co-ordinating some events and running the website for the Hailsham Festival of Arts & Culture and I’ve got quite a few bits to finalise for Monday for the programme..

Breathe.

My tense neck and speed of typing is telling me I now need to get on with some work and WRITE A LIST!!!

SAMSUNGI promise I’ll post pictures and info about our French trip soon… well, in a couple of weeks realistically. Here’s a picture of my cat anyway – makes me smile:)
